Action Against Illegal Industries and Polluting Units in Haryana

The Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), operating alongside local municipal corporations and district administration teams, has drastically intensified its enforcement drive against unauthorized industries operating in non-conforming, residential, and green zones.

MP Kesari Desk: Dozens of highly polluting manufacturing units, chemical plants, and illegal recycling yards have been issued immediate closure notices, hit with heavy environmental compensation fines, or completely sealed for violating statutory environmental protection laws.

These illegal establishments frequently discharge untreated, hazardous toxic effluents into local water bodies and release carcinogenic air pollutants directly into neighboring residential ecosystems without any filtration systems.

This multi-phase sealing drive also targets unauthorized commercial units that draw ground water illegally, compounding the region's existing environmental crises.

The state government has firmly reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward systematic environmental degradation, warning that severe criminal charges will be pressed against repeat offenders and corrupt property owners who lease land to unauthorized factories.

To prevent the relocation of these polluting industries to other peripheral zones, the administration is deploying drone surveillance and utilizing satellite imagery to monitor remote areas.

By enforcing these stringent measures, the state hopes to restore local air and water quality index ratings, protecting public health while steering the region toward a cleaner, legally compliant industrial economy.
