What is Haryana Happy Card Scheme?

The Happy Card Haryana Scheme is a welfare initiative launched to support low-income families by reducing their transportation expenses. Eligible citizens receive a smart travel card that enables them to avail free travel facilities on Haryana Roadways buses within the prescribed annual limit.

The scheme primarily benefits workers, students, senior citizens, and families belonging to economically weaker sections.

Free Bus Travel Facility

Each eligible beneficiary can travel up to 1,000 kilometers free of cost every year on Haryana Roadways buses.

Smart E-Ticketing Card

Beneficiaries are issued a digital smart card that is linked to the transport department's e-ticketing system.

Income-Based Eligibility

The scheme is available only to families whose annual income, as recorded in the Family ID (PPP) database, is below the prescribed limit.

What Happens After 1,000 Kilometers Are Used?

The free travel benefit is limited to 1,000 kilometers per year.

After the free travel quota is exhausted, beneficiaries can continue travelling on Haryana Roadways buses by paying the regular passenger fare applicable to the route.

Can Happy Card Be Used Outside Haryana?

Yes. The card can be used on eligible Haryana Roadways buses operating on interstate routes, including services connecting Haryana with:

  • Delhi
  • Punjab
  • Rajasthan
  • Chandigarh
